沥青是由沥青质、胶质、芳烃和饱和烃组成的高分子混合物,沥青质借助胶质分散在芳烃和饱和烃中,形成胶体结构,沥青质含量少时,沥青的粘结性、塑性、流动性较好,吸附了沥青中的芳烃和胶质,形成新的胶体,这样既保留或增加了原沥青的粘结性、塑性和流动性又改善了沥青的温度稳定性和弹性,从而达到提高沥青路用性能的目的。
